Flight Training

Learning to Fly

The Flight Training Process
The flight training process usually takes from 4-6 months depending upon your availability, your ability to be able to student and learn the required material, and your aptitude to quickly learn new motor skills.  Skyline Aeronautics urges customers to plan on spending around $7500 to complete your training program.  This number can vary for each student based upon their time and training bandwidth available and what aircraft they select to do their flying in.

Learning Components
There are 3 learning components to getting your Private Pilot Certificate.

Ground Training - Learning the material required to passing the FAA Written Knowledge Examination.

Flight Training - Moving through the Curriculum with your flight instructor lesson by lesson and mastering the skills requirements.

Multimedia Training - This is the home based study portion, usually performed on a laptop or desktop computer that helps you to tie together what you learn in Ground School with what you learn in flight training so that you can remember the material and become a safe pilot.  Skyline Aeronautics is an FAA Approved Pilot Center and we use the Cessna Pilot Kit as the primary Multimedia Computer Based Training (CBT) training platform.
